How to go incognito on any device

• -Press Ctrl+Shift+N on Windows or Linux, Cmd+Shift+N on Mac.
• -Or open the three-dot menu and choose New incognito window.
• -Right-click any link and choose Open link in incognito window to jump straight in.

• -Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P, or Cmd+Shift+P on Mac - it is called a Private Window.
• -Safari: Cmd+Shift+N, or File then New Private Window.
• -Safari on macOS Sonoma and later locks private windows when you switch away.

• -Safari on iPhone: tap the tabs button, then Private, then the plus sign.
• -Chrome on Android: menu, then New incognito tab - and enable the lock in Settings, Privacy.
• -Samsung Internet: tabs button, then Turn on Secret mode.

• -It does not hide your IP address from the sites you open.
• -It does not stop your search engine logging the query.
• -It does not hide activity from your network, employer or school.
• -It does not stop fingerprinting inside the session.
