Incognito shortcut keys for every browser
One keystroke is the difference between a private window and a habit you never form. Here is the full set, by browser and platform, plus the shortcuts for ending a session cleanly.
Windows, Linux and Chromebook
- -Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera: Ctrl+Shift+N.
- -Firefox and Tor Browser: Ctrl+Shift+P.
- -Internet Explorer legacy mode: Ctrl+Shift+P.
- -Close the window and end the session: Ctrl+Shift+W.
macOS
- -Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera: Cmd+Shift+N.
- -Safari: Cmd+Shift+N.
- -Firefox: Cmd+Shift+P.
- -Close the window and end the session: Cmd+Shift+W.
Useful adjacent shortcuts
- -Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Cmd+Shift+Delete): open the clear-browsing-data panel.
- -Ctrl+Shift+T: reopen a closed tab - note this does not work for incognito tabs.
- -Right-click a link, then choose Open link in incognito window.

One keystroke, one tap
