Private browsing on iPhone and Safari

• -Open Safari and tap the tabs button in the bottom-right corner.
• -Tap the tab-group label at the bottom of the screen.
• -Choose Private.
• -Tap the plus sign to open a private tab - the interface goes dark.

Since iOS 17, Safari can blur and lock private tabs when you leave the app. Go to Settings, Safari, and enable Require Face ID to Unlock Private Browsing. This is the single most useful privacy toggle on the phone, because the realistic threat on a personal device is someone glancing at the screen.
